| Quality Engineer - Manpower | Duties & Responsibilities
Meets with manufacturing and assembly personnel and customer representative inspectors to ensure that corrective actions are implemented to resolve product problems
Generates and coordinates the 8D process
Tracks and reports on quality
Conducts training sessions to improvement techniques
Uses basic statistical techniques to capture, analyze and report trends in product quality results from internal and external sources.
Supports ISO9001:2000, MQ12005, and MQ13005 certification initiatives
Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills & Knowledge
Ability to interpret complex drawings, engineering specifications and standards and then propose practical solutions to complex problems
Familiarity with ISO TS 16949/QA-9000 standards
Familiarity with 5S/8D and root cause analysis
Must be adept in data collection, statistical analysis, engineering interpretation and critical business thinking
Must have basic understanding of statistical process control techniques
Must possess working knowledge in applying specific inspection techniques, use of hand gages and related inspection equipment
Must be familiar with machining, gear production, assembly, and heat treating processes
Travel may be required at times
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Advanced degree desired
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality
Experience in reactive/proactive quality data analysis
Location: Peoria

| | Electrical Component Engineer - Manpower Professional | Manpower Professional of Central, IL is seeking a Electrical Component Engineer in the Bloomington, IL area. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design and development of new products and has the primary responsibility for time, cost, quality, and technical performance of electronic assemblies. Additional responsibilities include quality improvements of existing electronic assemblies, component standardization, and to explore new technologies and solutions for future products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Specification, design, simulation, prototyping, testing and documentation of electronic assemblies such as power supplies, battery chargers, motor controls, displays, and other control circuits used in products.

Ability to use PCB layout and documentation tools.
Ability to quickly build, debug, and modify hardware prototypes.
Ability to analyze root cause of assembly and component failures.
Ability to make accurate cost estimates and recommend best technology based on cost and volume targets.

The incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the assembly process and Caterpillar’s Reactive Supplier Quality Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between the assembly process and Caterpillar’s Reactive Supplier Quality Department
Serve as the primary person to respond to assembly line quality problems
Investigate the complaint, determine root cause, and establish short-term containment and/or rework if parts are defective
Document Assembly Line and NOPS (non-operational product) Quality
Communicate containment issues to Caterpillar’s Reactive Quality Supplier Quality Department for continued long-term action as required
Investigate and report findings of all supplier-caused assembly line NOPS generated on the assigned shift

Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
