Eastlight Theatre's YouthLight 2015 will present the musical Big Fish beginning at 7:30 pm in the East Peoria High School Auditorium tonight (Thursday) and Friday at 7:30 and at 2 pm on Sunday.  The story of a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some.  His incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him. Nana's Naughty Knickers opens at the Barn 2 Dinner Theatre in Goodfield tonight (Thursday) and runs through September 13.  Tonight (Thursday), Fridays & Saturdays, doors open at 6 pm, buffet is at 6:30 pm, and the show is at 8 pm. On Sundays, doors & the buffet open at noon, and the show is at 1:30 pm. The 10th Annual Dairy Queen Miracle Treat Day will take place all day today (Thursday): for every Blizzard treat sold at Dairy Queen locations in Peoria, Bloomington, Washington, Morton, Pontiac and Canton, $1 or more will be donated to the local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, including Children's Hospital of Illinois. Peoria Historical Society's River City Trolley Tour winds along Grandview Drive and will take place on Friday beginning at 10:30 am leaving from Harp & Thistle (located at 4605 N Prospect Road in Peoria Heights).  The "Abraham Lincoln & the Civil War Tour" tells the story of Lincoln's visits to Peoria, the Civil War troops and Camp Peoria & Camp Lyon where they trained. You'll visit Springdale Cemetery and see the final resting place of Civil War veterans. Running on Saturdays in August beginning at 11 am, the tour leaves from Kelleher's Irish Pub, (located at 619 SW Water Street near State St. in downtown Peoria).  And the "Roll Out the Barrel Tour" takes you through the earliest sections of downtown Peoria and into the Warehouse District where you'll discover facts about distilling in Peoria running Saturdays in August beginning at 1:30 pm also leaving from Kelleher's Irish Pub.  Cost for each tour is $15 and seniors 65+ ride the trolley free with proof of age and a regular ticket purchase. A Sightseeing Cruise will take place on the Spirit of Peoria on Friday, Saturday & Sunday beginning at 2 pm. An additional Saturday cruise will also take place beginning at 11 am. Sculpture Walk Peoria will lead free guided tours of the 15 sculptures that are on display for 12 months on Washington Street between Oak and Liberty every Saturday through the summer.
