Four Local Charities Benefit from Skeleton Arms Hotel Haunted House
admin writes, "Four local charities will receive the proceeds from the Skeleton Arms Hotel Haunted House to be held Wednesday, October 18 through Wednesday, October 25 at the Grandview Hotel located in Junction City."
The Dunlap Eagles Special Athletics/Special Olympics, Southside Office of Concern, Habitat for Humanity and Heart of Illinois Downs Syndrome Association are the 4 charities who will benefit from the fundraiser.
Peoria Players Theater designed, will install and operate the haunted house including providing the monsters who will haunt it. As the hotel is set for demolition October 29th, this is a one-time opportunity for the theater and guests as well.
Hours of operation are 6 - 11 pm October 18 through 25 with a special "not-so-scary" time for kids aged 12 and under on Sunday, October 22 from 12 Noon to 5 pm.
The Skeleton Arms Hotel is located within Junction City at the corner of Knoxville and Prospect Roads in Peoria. The Haunted House was the brainchild of Junction City owner Alexis Khazzam who is in the process of renovating the entire shopping center.
When Khazzam included razing the Grandview Hotel as part of his renovation process, he enlisted the help of Peoria Players' Eric Hatschke to handle the coordination of the haunted house.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 & Under and will be available at the door.
