I was overcome with emotion today after reading the history of a local farm. Some farmers are a part of a long tradition, past down through the generations as in Grandpa & Grandma Farm, owned by Tony and Ginger Malek, Sparland, IL. Some grow up on a farm, leave, but come back later in life to start their own farm as Anne Patterson, Living Earth Farm, Farmington, IL.

| 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs |
The Pet Pantry, in cooperation with the Morton Park District, announces their 5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs to benefit Foster Pet Outreach. This year’s event will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Oakwood Dog Park on N. Main St in Morton. The public egg hunt session will be held from 1pm to 3pm, with a private “RSVP only” session held earlier that morning. The private session is open to anyone who pre-registers their dog through the Pet Pantry website:thepetpantry-peoria.com
Admission is $6.00 per dog with all proceeds going to Foster Pet Outreach. Each Easter egg contains prizes, redeemable that day for treats, food samples, coupons, and gift certificates.
